Campus Gallery features leading contemporary artist Charles Pachter April 2
April 01, 2015

A painting of a moose and Queen Elizabeth.

Pachter’s images of the queen, moose, and maple leaf flag are icons of Canadian contemporary art.

The Campus Gallery will host one of Canada’s most loved living artists, Charles Pachter, on Thursday, April 2 at 2 p.m. in the Georgian Theatre, Barrie Campus.

Very few artists achieve the level of recognition Charles has. His iconic imagery has entered the national psyche and has come to define a uniquely Canadian pop-art sensibility. Blending humour, crisp graphic and painterly qualities (and a scholarly knowledge of our country’s history) his imagery, in many instances, helps us define ourselves as Canadians.

Reception in the Campus Gallery to follow.

All are welcome.
