All revved up for Canadian auto history
July 04, 2012

Mark Richardson, former Editor of the Toronto Star Wheels section and current author of the MFuel automotive supplements in Maclean’s magazine will be at the Barrie Campus on Friday, July 6 at noon to talk to students in the Event Planning course about his journey across Canada.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the first road trip across Canada from coast to coast, and on the 50th anniversary of the completion of the iconic Trans-Canada Highway, the award-winning journalist and author has been driving from St. John’s, NL, to Victoria, BC, documenting the significance of these important milestones in Canadian automobile history.

Richardson is recording his own stories of the highway as he retraces many of the original and iconic routes travelled during the Trans-Canada’s remarkable past.

Mark will share his travel stories with the group. All are welcome.
