Upgrading all student email accounts

Georgian is upgrading all @student.georgianc.on.ca email accounts by increasing storage space from 50MB to 50GB and improving usability and navigation.

Starting Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m., all full-time student email accounts will be switched to a new and improved interface: Office 365. The process will take several days and not all student email accounts will be updated at the same time. Part-time student email accounts will follow.

Throughout the upgrading process, students can continue to access their Georgian email via webmail. Once their account has been updated, they’ll see the new interface when they log in.

Students who use their Georgian student email account on their smartphone will experience a service disruption as soon as their account has been switched to Office 365. To reconnect their Georgian email to their phone, students must change the server name in their email settings to ‘outlook.office365.com’ and ensure their username is their full email address, e.g. 123456789@student.georgianc.on.ca.
