RCMP Constable David Wynn

Police Foundations students at the Owen Sound Campus invite members of the local community to drop by the campus on Tuesday, Jan. 27 to sign a book of condolences for the family of slain RCMP Const. David Matthew Wynn of Alberta.

Const. Wynn was fatally shot Jan. 17 while investigating the theft of a vehicle in St. Albert. RCMP Auxiliary Const. Derek Bond was also shot and injured and is recovering at home.

Police Foundations students will forward this book of signatures and messages to Const. Wynn’s wife and children. They hope community members will take a moment to sign the book, acknowledging the dedication of police officers and showing support for police and their families here and across Canada.

Hours for signing the book of condolences are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on one day only — Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The book is available in the front lobby of the Owen Sound Campus at 1450 8th St. E., in Owen Sound.
