“The Innovation Showcase is a wonderful opportunity for students to share their innovative ideas with the community,” says Kevin Weaver, Dean, Technology and Visual Arts. “It’s also a great chance for employers to see first-hand the strong talents of Georgian students.”

Some of the work being showcased this year includes an app related to the production of short films for film festivals, a coffee temperature checker, a city transportation tracker, and an LED game cube.

There will be over $2,000 in prizes available in a variety of categories.

The event is open to staff, students and the public. Doors open at 3 p.m., with speeches and awards at 6:30 p.m. It takes place in the Athletic and Fitness Centre at the Barrie Campus.
