Let Owen Sound Culinary and Cook Apprentice students prepare your Thanksgiving dinner to go this year.

Would you like to spend more time with family and less time in the kitchen this Thanksgiving? Georgian College Culinary Skills and Cook Apprenticeship students can help.

Owen Sound Campus faculty and students have launched a new service this fall called Thanksgiving to Go. This affordable time-saver means you can have an entire family meal cooked and ready to go without all the work. At the same time, Georgian students gain valuable, real-world experience serving the public.

The mouth-watering menu includes butternut squash with caramelized Meaford apple soup, fresh baguette, sliced roasted turkey with onion and sage dressing, savory pan jus, herb-roasted harvest potatoes, maple-glazed root vegetables, bourbon-scented cranberry sauce, and classic pumpkin or apple pie. Printed menus and simple re-heating instructions are also included.

The cost is $120 (tax included) for a half order that serves six people or $240 (tax included) for a full order that serves 12 people.

Order deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7.

Pick up will be Friday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Georgian Dining Room at the Owen Sound Campus, 1450 8th St. E, Owen Sound.

To order, contact Michael Desborough at 519-376-0840, ext. 2007 or by email at michael.desborough@georgiancollege.ca.
