Georgian’s team at Chili and Beer Fest

This weekend, join Georgian culinary students at Barrie’s 2014 Chili and Beer Fest in support of Easter Seals Ontario. This year’s competition will be at the Navy League/Sea Cadets building at the foot of Bayfield St.

The cook off features several local restaurants, businesses and schools vying for the title of best chili or beer. Georgian has been involved for six years, with students preparing and serving the college’s signature chili.

The event is open to the general public, admission is free and it costs $5 to sample chili and beer. The event is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Proceeds will help provide programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities.
