Plans are well underway for the 2014 Orillia Campus Career Fair, set for Wednesday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym. Organizers anticipate that this year’s employer booths may exceed last year’s – which totalled 39.
The career fair – organized by Career and Co-op Services – is an ideal opportunity for students to get a sense of new workplace trends, emerging industry needs and sought-after skills. It’s also a valuable opportunity for them to acquire new networking contacts.
Students will be encouraged to speak with employers in their field about entry-level positions, specialized training, hiring processes and how to prepare for their future careers. They can also enter a draw to win an iPad mini.
