Women’s Hockey Challenge Cup coming to Georgian

The 2014 Ontario Colleges Committee on Campus Recreation (OCCCR) Women’s Hockey Challenge Cup is coming to Orillia on March 27 and 28.

Georgian College is the proud host of this year’s Challenge Cup which brings together this season’s six top ranked teams in tournament play including the hosts, Fanshawe, Humber North, Conestoga, Sault, and St. Lawrence Cornwall.

Last year’s defending Challenge Cup champions from Fanshawe will open the tournament when they face Humber at 7 p.m. on Thursday night. The host team from Georgian will face St. Lawrence Cornwall Thursday night at 9 p.m.

Play resumes for a full day on Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding with the Challenge Cup final at 4:45 p.m. at the Rotary Rinks in Orillia.
