Oshawa, ON – Day two of the PING CCAA Golf National Championships was a good day for Georgian’s men’s and women’s teams who put up some good numbers heading into the final round.
This year’s OCAA Champion Colton Kalkanis put up a score of 70 in the second round which is tied for the best individual round of the day. Kalkanis sits in a tie for third place with a 2-over par through the first two rounds, just two strokes back of the leader Nicholas Fortin from Humber College.
Nolan Knill matched his score of 77 from yesterday’s first round to sit 10-over and a share of 25th place. Jonah Tremback shot a 78 today to sit 11-over and sits tied for 30th, while Clayton Connor posted a round of 81 today to sit in a tie for 45th. James Skrypec wrapped up the Men’s group shooting an 84 today to sit tied for 52nd with a +16.
The Men’s team now sits in 6th place with a +36 combined score through two rounds, 20 strokes back of the leading Humber Hawks.
On the Women’s side Alyssa DeFoe shot a 91 today to sit in 16th place overall, while Avery White shot a 98 to sit in 17th place with a 40-over score.
Combined the Women’s team sit in 7th place with a +79 score through two rounds and sit 40 strokes behind the leaders the UBC Okanagan Heat who are sitting at +39
The final round gets underway Friday morning at 8am.
