For the third straight tournament Georgian’s Matt Lemay was on top of the mountain.
The first-year Grizzlies golfer from Waterloo continued his impressive run on Wednesday finishing in first place at the Durham College Open held at Lakeridge Links in Whitby.
He shot a 74, which earned him a first place tie, and received the top spot on a retrogression tiebreak.
Lemay was also tied for first place at the Fleming Invitational earlier this week and was the top golfer when the Grizzlies hosted the Fanshawe Falcons in a team competition last week.
The Grizzlies men’s team of Lemay, Jeff Beedham (Georgetown), Dan Knapp (Burlington), and Blake Ulrich (Peterborough) also finished in second place with a combined score of 312 – just three strokes behind the Durham College team which finished first.
The team’s busy schedule continues as they travel to London on Saturday to participate in the Fanshawe Invitational, followed by the Niagara Invitational on Monday.
The OCAA Golf Championships take place Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, hosted by Fleming College.
