Georgian Grizzlies men’s golfer Colton Kalkanis has been named individual gold medalist at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association golf championships for the second year in a row.

Kalkanis finished this year’s tournament an incredible 10 strokes ahead of his closest competitor in the event held at Boischatel, QC last week.

With his victory, the Hillsdale, ON native becomes the first men’s golfer to repeat as the PING CCAA National Golf Champion in the tournament’s history.

Last season, Kalkanis become the first male golfer to win both the individual title at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Golf Championship and the PING CCAA Championship in the same year. He earned a silver medal at this year’s OCAA Golf Championship back on Oct. 2 in Paris, ON.
