Grizzlies Stay Perfect at Sheridan

The Grizzlies moved to a perfect 3-0 after defeating Sheridan 14-5 Saturday, September 28th

Oakville, ON – September 28th, 2013 – The Georgian Grizzlies Men’s Rugby team continued its winning streak Saturday afternoon when they travelled to Oakville to take on the Sheridan Bruins in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association action.

It was a tight physical affair from beginning to end, but the Grizzlies were able to come away with a 14-5 victory to improve their OCAA season record to 3-0.

Georgian had tries from second year Barrie native Conon Valyear and AJ Luongo (Erin, ON) to lead the scoring. OCAA points leader Paul Marshall (Barrie) scored on two converts for four points in the victory.

The Grizzlies sit in first place in the OCAA’s West Division standings and will face the only other currently undefeated team in the division, the Humber Hawks on Wednesday, October 9th at 4pm at the Barrie Community Sports Complex. The game is open to the public and fans are encouraged to come out and support the Grizzlies.
