Grizzlies Rugby Suffers Tough Loss to Conestoga

Cambridge, ON – The Grizzlies men’s rugby team were looking at clinching a potential home playoff game but were unable to pull out a victory losing 19-13 against the Conestoga Condors Sunday afternoon in Cambridge, ON in their final match before the playoffs begin.

Georgian had tries from Ben Dorfling and Charles Curran while Paul Marshall scored on a penalty kick to round out the scoring for the Grizzlies.

Conestoga had tries from Jim Bryson, Greg Dawkins and Andrew Harpell along with two converts by Josh Dawes in the victory.

The loss drops Georgian’s record to 3-2-1 on the season and will need to wait to see the outcome of the final games on the schedule to determine who they will meet in the playoffs. Game Sheet
