Grizzlies fall in final first half test

Toronto, ON – December 5th, 2012 – The Georgian Grizzlies men’s volleyball team wrapped up their first half of the season Wednesday night when they fell to the George Brown Huskies 3-0.

The Grizzlies competed hard but it simply wasn’t their night falling in three straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-22.

Barrie native Lyndon Sonego led the Grizzlies in points (13) and in digs (15) continuing his strong play this season.

Chris Jackson (12 digs) and Michael Vandinther (11 digs) also had solid games.

The Grizzlies wrap up their first half with a 6-4 record and will sit in 5th place in the OCAA’s east division’s standings heading into the holiday break.

Georgian will return to action on January 4th & 5th when they participate in the Niagara College Invitational.
