Grizzlies Cross Country Compete at Humber Invitational

Toronto, ON – October 5th, 2013 – The Georgian Grizzlies men’s and women’s Cross Country Running teams competed at the Humber Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Toronto.

The event brought in many teams looking for a sneak peek of what the course will be like for the CCAA National Championships, as Humber College will play hosts on November 9th.

With plenty of competition the Grizzlies men’s team was able to finish in 7th place as a group. Georgian’s Ryan Fennell had another strong race finishing in 17th spot overall which was his second top 20 finish in as many races.

On the women’s side the team put together an 8th place finish with Chelsea Cotter coming in as the top Grizzlies runner in 27th spot. She was followed close behind by Serafima Stilman (28th), Carolyn Schaerer (29th) and Sam Lateigne (31st).

Georgian will next compete in the Seneca Invitational this Friday, October 11th which will be their final event before the OCAA Championships which are being hosted by Redeemer University College on Saturday, October 19th.
