After seventeen successful years behind the bench of the Georgian Grizzlies men’s volleyball program, Head Coach John Moore has decided to step down.

“We are so thankful to John for all of his hard work and dedication to the program and wish him all the best as he steps back from his role,” said Georgian’s Manager of Athletics Michele McConney. “As one of our longest serving coaches, John made a significant impact on countless student-athletes, the athletic department and Georgian College as a whole.”

During his coaching career at Georgian, which began in the 1996-97 season, Moore grew the program into a contender and helped produce numerous OCAA all-stars. He also led the Grizzlies to several provincial appearances, most recently at the 2014 OCAA Championships hosted by Georgian College.

A formal search for a new head coach will begin in the near future.
