Looking for a great golf tournament?
March 17, 2011

It’s too early to think about golf, right? Not according to a dedicated group of committee members and golf enthusiasts well on their way to planning Georgian’s 24th Annual Golf Classic.

The Classic will be held on Monday, May 16, at The Club at Bond Head – a traditional Links style course with daunting rough, tall deep fescue and ragged edged bunkers that test even the most seasoned player.

Excellent courses, incredible prizes, terrific food and a few surprises make this year’s event one you won’t want to miss!

The golf classic is one of Simcoe County’s longest-running charity golf tournaments. To date, the tournament has raised $790,000 in support of student awards and scholarships. Funds raised this year will go towards the Power of Education Campaign, an initiative to raise $25 million to ensure Georgian programs continue to be better than par for the course.

Specifically, contributions will be used to expand key areas including awards and scholarships, and, in particular, the new Centre for Health and Wellness.

There are many ways that you can get involved, even if you aren’t an avid golfer.

Play – pay your registration fee by April 17 and be eligible to win a complimentary foursome at any Clublink property. Get a team together or encourage local businesses to participate.
