Inspiring the next generation of tradeswomen
November 11, 2013

On the evening of Nov. 13, the Georgian Dining Room is hosting the Barrie Young Women’s Networking Event, connecting high school students with successful, local tradeswomen.

Organized by Skills Canada – Ontario, the event will also offer young women from across Simcoe County the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities and learn about the benefits of working in the skilled trades. A Georgian representative will be on hand to tell them about the college’s many apprenticeship and program pathways. So far, about 115 people are slated to attend the event.
