Digital tools: Creating video resources – ScreencastingGeorgian College Chevron

Has this ever happened to you?

  • students missed your important introduction to the course
  • students asking you to explain the assignment again (and again)
  • students want an explanation of concepts taken up in class

Would you like to be able to record an explanation of your syllabus, a walkthrough of your assignment, or a narration of your slides? Learn how to create screencasts in this workshop. Screencasting allows you to record a video of your screen while providing narration. You can show your students your Blackboard shell, demonstrate software, narrate slides, etc. Screencasting can also be used by students as an alternative way to show learning (e.g. instead of handing in slides, they can submit narrated slides). Please contact Greg Rodrigo at ext.1775 for more information.
