Students from Georgian College’s Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate program have collaborated to form HuRSA. Georgian’s first ever Human Resources Student Association, which aims to provide value added activities for Georgian College students with a slate of outings, events, and philanthropic opportunities throughout the year for students to become more involved in the Georgian community.
The executive is keenly focused on the development of the association well into the future seeking strategic partnerships with organizations like the Barrie Chapter of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA), and by engaging new student members to act as successors shepherding the association into the future.
The association’s executive is made up of nine of Georgian’s Human Resources Management Certificate students led by President Theresa Uniac and includes,
Vice President and head of Social Media Alton Wu, Secretary Erin Stanton, Fundraising Coordinator, and Treasurer Katherine Heatherington, Athletic Coordinator Kaley Faulkner, Charity Coordinator’s Chantal M , and Kate Lessard, Social Coordinator and Treasurer Amy-Lynne Simpson, and Event Coordinator Talia Marchant.
This semester’s charitable partners are Gilda’s Club and the Georgian Food Locker. All current Georgian College students are welcome to join as the association is always seeking new members and fresh ideas.
