Learning and volunteering: Two things that never stop!

Any student who has ever taken the Research Analyst Program will tell you that there is more to the program than meets the eye. Throughout the program, students are provided with several opportunities to engage in the vibrant extra-curricular life of the College and the surrounding community. Here are a couple of more highlights from October.

classroomThe program hosted the Canadian Evaluation Society’s Essential Skills Series at Georgian College, where 23 community professionals, current students and alumni took part in 4 days of evaluation research training over reading week.

RAP-buildLynn, Karl, Jeff, Jessica, Dan, Jake and Alyssa swapped statistics for hammers participating in a Saturday ‘Adopt-a-Build’ day with the Orillia / Lake Country affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. The student and faculty team assisted the community in the construction of a duplex that will house two families in Brechin, Ontario. Habitat seeks to provide affordable housing for families in need around the world.
