As part of their Food and Beverage Control Systems course, 4th year Golf Management students had the opportunity to attend the annual Gourmet Food & Wine Expo held in November at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Each year the Expo offers 38,000 guests an unparalleled opportunity to sample over 1,500 fine wines, spirits and beers from around the globe. In this hands-on jaunt, students were required to create a bar menu featuring the newest popular wines and craft beer along with the latest appetizer trends they savoured for a fictitious Club Bar Operation (from the perspective of a Food and Beverage Manager). Good times were had by all and some valuable trade experience too!
