Alan J. McGee joined the faculty of the Automotive Business School of Canada in 2003. Prior to joining Georgian College, Alan taught in the business programs at Acadia and Saint Mary’s University in Nova Scotia, as well as working as a textbook supplement author for Pearson Education Canada and McGraw-Hill. Alan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, graduating in 1984. Alan started his career in the automotive industry with Ford of Canada working as a Zone Parts Manager and Field Manager, and then later worked for Suzuki Canada Inc., as Atlantic District Manager: Vehicle Division. Alan teaches primarily marketing subjects in both diploma and degree programs, and is presently working on a dissertation to complete a Doctorate in Business Administration (Marketing) from Argosy University. Alan’s research interests are in the areas of manufacturer-dealer relations and the history of personal selling theory.
