I completed a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology. The best part of my university experience was volunteering as the president of a non-profit organization – I thrived on the entrepreneurial spirit of that role.
After working for an environmental consulting company for two years, I decided I needed to take my life in a different direction. I enrolled in the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management program. It was a crash course in what it takes to create and run a successful business. The small class sizes, industry-expert teachers, and professional network of entrepreneurs that I was introduced to really added to the academic experience. It takes a village to raise a child and Georgian gave me the tools, support and guidance that I needed to help get me where I am today.
Meledey is a startup in Toronto and I’m responsible for establishing our target market and identifying marketing opportunities. I manage all social media content, marketing campaigns, and public relations. I love that I get to work with really smart people who want to build really cool things! There is no tedious routine or monotony at work, I’m constantly learning new things every day and get to face different challenges.
