Nature of Disabilities in RT

TREC 1015

Students examine selected diseases, disabilities, and the aging process with an emphasis on limitations and implications affecting leisure and recreation participation. The implementation of positive behavioural strategies is examined. Responsibilities regarding medications and documentation are discussed. The use of proper body mechanics and standard infection control precautions is explored. Principles and theories of death and dying are examined.

Prerequisites


Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
