Course description

The marine industry is a highly regulated international industry. In this course, students learn about some of the regulations that affect everyday life for a seafarer. This includes knowledge about international and domestic conventions, codes, acts, regulations, and rights and responsibilities as a crew member.

Post Secondary level MARE 1014 Practical Seamanship Minimum Grade of 60

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
