Environmental Fluid Mechanics

MENG 3013

Students investigate fluid properties, fluid statics and dynamics, and fluid flow through theoretical and laboratory studies. Environmental applications of density, viscosity, pressure, and energy of incompressible fluids in pressure systems are studied. Open and closed weir channels, venturi meters and orfice plates are explored. Students use key skills of problem solving and unit analysis to solve fluid mechanics problems.
